Out of office but still effective.
Telehealth is a means of meeting face-to-face over telecommunications technology.
Telehealth has been shown to be as effective as traditional in-person therapy for general anxiety, depression, and many other issues motivating someone to seek psychotherapy.
Accommodates lifestyle preferences.
There are many reasons why in-person therapy may not be right for everyone.
You may be too busy for scheduling an appointment that requires driving to an office and finding parking.
Perhaps you feel that meeting in an office setting is intimidating.
It could be that you have in-home responsibilities that make traveling difficult.
Whatever your reasons, telehealth offers a proven and effective alternative to in-person therapy.
Technical requirements are minimal.
To participate in telehealth, all you need is a desktop computer, tablet, or smartphone with at least IOS 11 or Android 7 technology.
For optimal results, a reliable, high-speed Internet connection with a bandwidth of at least 10 Mbps will minimize connection issues and provide the best quality.
All teleconferences are protected for privacy.
If you request a superbill for possible reimbursement from your insurance company, it is a good idea to confirm that they cover this service.
Telehealth offers an option to continue therapy.
Currently, I am only offering telehealth.
But when circumstances with the current pandemic make it possible to offer in-person sessions, I will continue to offer both in-person and telehealth options.
